Cross Country Skiing in the Teton Backcountry

A little taste of heaven on earth...the Teton backcountry all covered in snow! It was an unbelievable site. All creation was at rest, peaceful and calm, and not even the animals dared walk across the ocean of snow that surrounded us. I felt so blessed to be able to enter the snow-laden forest and meadow with my beloved hubby and BFF, Matt, and to have the physical ability to learn a new sport. It was a real treat to see the very place we backpacked in August 2004, then covered with green grass, wildflowers, and playful marmots...blanketed with the pure covering of snow. The majesty of God was truly captured there! I am in awe of my God.

Psalm 19:1-6
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.

3 There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard. a]">[a]

4 Their voice b]">[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,

5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat.
